We wanted to design a reliable and extremely efficient wind turbine - that was the basic idea behind the development of the VENSYS wind energy converters (WECs). We based this design on the know-how we gained in our 15 years of engineering experience (beginning in 1990) in designing wind turbines.
The VENSYS WECs prove that simple solutions can be found for complex problems by restricting the design to the smallest possible number of components, reducing the number of wearing parts to a minimum and making exclusive use of long-life components.
Trouble-free operation of the wind turbine is guaranteed by the gearless multipole generator with permanent-magnet excitation, the patented air-cooling system for the generator and the pitch system which employ wear-free toothed belts.
The combination of compact construction, efficient energy conversion and intelligent design of the systems which ensure operational reliability maximises energy yields and minimises down-times. And this holds true for a large variety of local environments and grid conditions.
Our in-house development of all important components of the wind turbine ensures that in dealing with us you will be dealing with persons competent to answer all questions concerning the entire system - a big plus-point when it comes to ensuring the on-schedule completion of your project. For our basic principle is to put our knowledge and experience at the service of our customers for the benefit of the environment.
Two Vensys turbine models are offered in this range. The first is the Vensys 64 1.2 MW wind turbine with a rotor diameter of 64 m and a generator size of 1.2 MW. The second is the slightly larger Vensys 77 1.5 MW wind turbine that has a rotor diameter of 77 m and a generator size of 1.5 MW. Both turbines are available with tower sizes of 65 and 85 m.
